

A Meditation for Connection to Loved Ones
A gift of presence, memory, and love across all distances

Find a comfortable position — either seated or lying down. Let your body begin to soften. Gently close your eyes.
​
Take a slow, deep breath in through the nose… and a long breath out through the mouth.
​
Again — in… and out.
Let your shoulders drop. Let your jaw unclench. Let your hands rest easy.
Now, feel the surface beneath you — the ground, the bed, the chair. Let it hold you completely.
With every breath, allow your body to settle a little more deeply into safety.
You are here.
You are supported.
You are not alone.

Bring your awareness to your heart space — the center of your chest. Gently place a hand there if that feels comforting. Begin to imagine a soft golden light glowing within. Warm, steady, radiant. This light is your love — your capacity to connect.
​
Now, bring to mind a loved one. Someone you miss, or someone you simply want to feel close to. This could be a person living or passed, someone far away or near in body but distant in emotion. Anyone your heart wants to reach.
​
See them clearly in your mind's eye. Picture their face. Feel their presence.
Now, with each inhale, imagine drawing golden light from your heart.

Now, with each inhale, imagine drawing golden light from your heart.
And with each exhale, gently send that light out to them.
Inhale — gather love.
Exhale — send love.
Inhale — connection.
Exhale — presence.

Feel the thread between you. Not forced, not strained. Simply there — gentle and enduring. Perhaps you feel warmth, or quiet, or even emotion rising. Allow all of it. You are opening the heart’s door, and love always answers.
Stay here for a few more breaths, basking in the shared space you've created. Words aren't needed. Just breath. Just presence. Just love.
Now gently release their image and return to your own body. Back to your breath. Back to the ground beneath you.

Take a deep inhale — and sigh it out. Wiggle fingers, toes. When you’re ready, open your eyes.

You are never truly apart from those you love. Connection is always just a breath away.
